Licensed dispensaries in and near Marina del Rey
Visitors ask two questions: where's legal to buy, and where's legal to use. Buying is the easy half — the Marina has licensed retail right on its main strip, with more options minutes away. Using is the strict half: private property with the owner's permission only. Never the beach, the boat, or the boardwalk (our beach rules guide has the full picture).
First: the 30-second license check
Licensed shops display a state license number in-store and online; verify any shop or delivery service at search.cannabis.ca.gov. LA's unlicensed storefronts look convincing — the database is how you tell the difference, and it's also where lab-tested product lives.
In the Marina
Xzibit's West Coast Cannabis (XWCC) Marina del Rey — 13452 W Washington Blvd, state license C10-0000460-LIC. The artist-owned shop on the Marina's main retail street, walkable from the Washington Blvd hotels and an easy stop between the harbor and Venice Pier.
Highway Cannabis — tucked off Maxella Ave and Del Rey Ave near the Villa Marina side, with curbside pickup for the drive-through-town crowd.
Minutes away
The Lincoln Boulevard corridor running north into Venice and south into Westchester is the Westside's dispensary spine — including LAXCC (8332 Lincoln Blvd, the closest shop to the airport) and SWED, the Snoop Dogg-branded store on Centinela that opens at 6am. If you're staging a beach day from the Marina, everything above is inside a 10–15 minute drive.
Visitor practicalities
Physical ID required — passports work for international visitors. Most shops are cash-friendly with ATMs or debit workarounds. Hotel consumption is a house-policy matter (almost all prohibit smoking; low-odor formats are the realistic choice), and licensed delivery to a hotel address is legal — meet the driver in the lobby.
